With all that said, let's turn this happy and see some cute pictures of me doing cute things.
I've got a new favorite thing to do. Stand and sit on random boxes around the house. Early this week there was a griddle in a cardboard box sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor. (Apparently it's difficult for my parents to put things away when I'm attached to their legs demanding food. At the same time mind you.) I climbed up onto the box and things were cool until I walked off the edge. Lucky for me I can only climb onto low boxes, whereby making my falls only short ones.
Later in the week I found a box in the hallway from a new lateral file Daddy put together. It gave me much enjoyment to venture upon it. Yes, that is a box of Suddenly Salad in my hands. Mommy was going to make it for dinner but Daddy said he doesn't really like Suddenly Salad. Mommy said this was news to her and wondered why she was never told that in the nearly five years she's been making it for him. (I stayed out of that one.) Well, the good news was that I got to play with the box all I wanted. Yeah me.
I got to have a sleepover at Grandma Jan and Grandpa Bob's when Mommy and Daddy went to Erin's birthday party. Here I am playing on the step showing off my new signature move. I like to bend over and put my arms behind me like I'm a bird in flight. Cool, heh? Normally I put both wings up, but I was saddled with the remote this time.
Mommy and I had dinner at G & G's that night before my sleepover. After dinner Mom and Grandma took me for a walk. It was nice to get out in their neighborhood again. It's been a long time since I've been for a walk up on that end of town.
Oh boy oh boy check out my new toy! Uncle John came over yesterday and brought me this fantastic Duplo table. We played with it a lot today. My favorite game to play with it is "Build and Destroy". Mommy and Daddy build things and I destroy them.
Great grandpa Larry would be so proud. I love lemons. Turns out he used to feed them to Daddy and all his other grandkids when they were little. Mommy gave me hers from her iced tea tonight. Yummy!
An update on my language development...the words in my vocabulary now include: uh-oh, bompa (usually this means grandpa but can also be used for turtle and duck), momma, dadda, hi and pop-pop (Tati).
Thanks for tuning in this week. Next week I'll have big stuff to report to you. In case you're totally out of the loop, I'm turning one soon and I'm having my birthday party next week. Nothing big, just my parents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and Great grandpa Larry. The real big shindig next weekend is one I will be unable to attend. Dad is turning 30 and Mom is throwing a party for him at O'Gara's Bar. Unfortunately, the party doesn't start until after my bedtime so I'll be having another sleepover at Grandma Jan and Grandpa Bob's.
TTFN.

Dear Taylor -
Oh, boy, life does get hard, doesn't it. But Mommy and Daddy just want you to be safe. Did you tell them that you almost figured out how to get down the stairs at our house? Maybe Friday night we can work on it some more. I love you to the moon and back! Grandma Jan XXXOXOOOXOXOXOOOXOXOXOXOXOOO
