In Like a Lion!

Happy March everybody. Yep that's right, I'm coming in like a lion! Lots of discoveries, new foods, and lots of walking.
This week I discovered something really cool. See I have this bedtime prayer book and there's a teddy bear built into it and when Mommy and Daddy put the teddy's paws together, he says a prayer. All of that is not the discovery part, that's just background information. The discovery was that I can put the paws together all by myself! So cool!!

Another new thing is what Mommy calls my "feed bag". It makes Grandma Jan laugh when she calls it that and Grandpa Bob is just plain disgusted by the thing. Anyways...it's a mesh bag with a handle and you can fill the bag with fresh foods like apples. And then I can chow on the food through the bag and nobody has to worry about me choking. Sa-weet.

Here's my new thing: when I get tired I lay on the floor and cry. I saw some of the bigger kids do it at daycare and thought it looked like fun. I think it's called a tantrum. Mine are just little right now. Someday they'll probably get really big and mean and ugly like a giant three-headed green slimy monster. I apologize in advance.

I had a playdate with Emily Rice over the weekend. Her parents brought her down here from Otsego. She's two years old and man can that girl move! I felt challenged by her walking skills and followed her all over my house practicing my own walking skills.

Here's Emily and me having some hugs. That's Emily's mom Bethany helping me stay planted. I'm still a bit unsteady under the enthusiastic hug of a toddler.

I did a little American Idol type showing off on Sunday. Mom got me all dressed up in a big girl outfit complete with boots with fur and I grabbed the microphone and took to the stage.

The boots were quite puzzling to me and I had to take a break to see if I could free my feet from them.

Dad made pancakes on Sunday. He even made one JUST for me! What a super guy! I had to start wearing these bibs that go over my head because I kept taking the Velco ones off. Haha did I ever show my parents though. On the second run at lunch time I took it off over my head. That'll show 'em!

Speaking of lunch, here I am, sans bib of course. Mom and Dad were eating leftover spaghetti and Dad gave me some noodles. Um, whole noodles that is. What a fun time that was! I twirled them around in the air. I sucked them in and out. It was so much fun! I've also tried lots of other great foods lately. Like tator tot hotdish, scrambled eggs, edemame, turkey, and french fries. I love it all!

And now it's Bonus Time! Not just one video this week but two. In the first video you'll see how much fun the spaghetti really was. And in the second you'll see my stellar walking skills.

I hope you've enjoyed the first March installment of Memoirs of a Baby.

Peace Out,

Taylor Baby Girl
